This site is provided and managed by Rainer registered charity number 229132

This privacy statement covers only the Rainer website at www.raineronline.org.  It does not cover pages hosted by other organisations to which we may link and which may have a different privacy policy.

Any personal data collected by Rainer is used in strict accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998 which ensures that your personal information is only used for the purpose for which is was requested and that the data is held securely.  A copy of Rainer's Data Management and Protection Policy can be requested by emailing mail@raineronline.org

The charity will co-operate fully with those seeking to exercise their individual statutory rights under the Act.

What kind of information do we collect?

Rainer only collects personal information, which is given to us knowingly and willingly.  This information may include email address, title, name and postal address, which you provide when applying for a vacancy online, ordering a publication, requesting information, or making a donation.

We also collect information automatically about your visit to our site.  This information is used to monitor the use of the website, and cannot be used to identify you. 

Use of cookies

The Rainer website uses cookies.  Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive.  The cookie used by the Rainer site is a 'non-persistent first party cookie' which means that it is only stored temporarily whilst you are browsing the site.  Its purpose is to store any preferences you select whilst browsing, such as whether you want to see the text or graphic version of the pages.

 Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent them if you prefer.


Who uses your information?

When you send information to the Rainer website you are giving the information to Rainer alone.  We will not share your information with any third party unless we have your express permission or under special circumstances, such as where the law requires it.

The only exception to this is if you make an online donation where you go through to the secure Worldpay payment site where the information you provide such as credit card number and contact information is used to carry out the transaction.  This information is encrypted for your protection.
