What We Do
If you would like to make a donation to Rainer, you can do so using our online donation form. Thank you.
Volunteering for Rainer has opened the doors for me...[it] can be stressful at times but if I can make a difference for one young person then it's worthwhile.

Basic skills
The role of the Basic skills volunteer is to assist both young people and adult learners with their specific literacy and numeracy needs. Volunteers receive induction to their role and subsequently work alongside trained tutors in one-to-one or group settings.
Potential volunteers interested in this opportunity are requested to have an English/Maths GCSE, or be willing to work towards a qualification in this area. In order to assist volunteers with carrying out their role they are buddied with an exisiting volunteer for support.
