Rainer and Artemis - 'Bridging the Gap'
Summary
Artemis is a leading UK fund manager and a dedicated active investment management house, specialising in investments and asset management for retail investors and segregated institutional investment management.
Artemis selected Rainer as one of their chosen four charities that they actively support and this partnership has been very successful in bridging the gap between businesses and their local communities.
About the Corporate Partnership
Artemis supports a local Rainer project to them – Rainer Lambeth Youth Inclusion Programme. The project works with young people aged between 8 and 17 who are at risk of offending in the London borough of Lambeth. The work is intensive and vital to young people who are facing social exclusion and often have very low self esteem. The project aims to help young people break free from the gang, gun and drug culture and offer them a future to look forward to. For more information about the project please click here.

As well as offering support to fund aspects of this project, Artemis are also working with us to bridge the gap between our young people and the businesses in their community. Artemis include young people from the project in team building activities for their staff; such as go-karting challenges, residential weekends in Scotland and football matches.
"Rainer offers our staff the ability to connect with the young people in our community and gain a sense of the difficulties some young people can face. We truly support the work Rainer does to offer young people a route out of social exclusion and are pleased to be able to support our local community."
Jeremy Newell, Operations Director for Artemis.
Artemis Staff Fundraising and Community Involvement
The partnership between Rainer and Artemis is very grass roots and has given Artemis staff the opportunity to raise funds whilst also interacting with the young people in their community. The projects that Artemis and Rainer have worked on together include:
|
|
- The Artemis Highland 100 of which Rainer is one of the charity beneficiaries. This cycle challenge takes place through the Highlands in Scotland and there are three competitive levels for all abilities.
- Entering a team of Artemis runners into the British 10k London Run for Rainer.
- Organising and hosting outward bound activity weekends in Scotland for Artemis staff and young people.
- Staging an ongoing football tournament between the Rainer Lambeth project and Artemis staff.
- Attending go-karting events aimed at integrating staff with young people.
- Mentoring opportunities for Artemis staff to offer their time to help an individual young person who needs support and encouragement.
